During the last years, the Dutch Embassy in Stockholm has organized several seminars about cycling in Stockholm and Gothenburg, together with the Dutch Cycling Embassy and local stakeholders.
On the 14th of April 2016 the embassy will once again arrange a seminar in Stockholm. During this afternoon both Dutch and Swedish speakers will outline how cycling fits in a strategy for active living, joy and economic prosperity in the Stockholm region and beyond. Meet experts on cycling & commute travel habits
During the seminar we will outline how cycling fits in a strategy for active living, joy and economic prosperity in the Stockholm region and beyond. Both Swedish and Dutch experts will present new findings on the subject, as well as tools that contribute to behavioral changes.

Make sure to arrive early. The gates to the court yard of the embassy will be open for the public from 11:00 to 13:00 hours.
Meet representatives and look at products from Dutch and Swedish manufacturers of bicycle racks, cargo bikes and bicycle accessories. There will also be an opportunity to buy a food truck lunch. The embassy court yard is a nice and unique setting for a chat on a bright day.
The seminar is aimed at politicians, traffic planners and health strategists who want to be inspired and share experiences. Also media is welcome.

27 local politicians and traffic planners were invited at the embassy in Stockholm for lectures by Roelof Wittink of the Dutch Cycling Embassy and Kevin Mayne of the European Cyclists’ Federation.
Building a Cycling Region – 23 April 2013
This combined seminar/workshop at the embassy in Stockholm was aimed at traffic planners, consultants and local politicians from the greater Stockholm area, but even guests from Gothenburg, Malmö and Linköping attended. Seminar guests who arrived by bike could park their bikes in Dutch bicycle racks on the courtyard, provided by VelopA, Jan Kuipers and Falco. Also a brand new app for reporting cycling obstacles developed by Verbeterdebuurt, CreativeCrowds and Cykelfrämjandet was presented during the day.
